What do the ACBN do?

There are five fundamental strands, which form the building blocks of the ACBN service proposition:

  • Advocacy & Representation

ACBN representation on the boards of key regional agencies is part of the positioning strategy. In this way we are able to influence policy makers at government and regional level and private industry to ensure support for the African Caribbean business agenda.

  • Information, Research and Service Development

Having the right information is crucial to succeed in business. AC businesses are very often starved of the information necessary to help them either become or stay competitive in their industries. Similarly regional business support providers know little about the African Caribbean business community. ACBN works to help bridge this ‘info-gap’ ensuring that the support services delivered in the region match the needs of AC businesses and are readily accessible.

  • International Trade Missions and Exhibitions

ACBN works to facilitate access to international trade missions and support business expositions and trade shows that serve to widen the horizons, promote and showcase trade sectors and business opportunities for its membership base. We also seek to create strategic territory links with ethnic minority focused business development organisations in order to create global trading and international business transactions for our members.

  • Network Support Services

ACBN acts as a unifying body to mobilise resources and work with existing African Caribbean focused business support agencies and networks to attain a high level of consistent service across London.

  • Membership Packages

ACBN has created a range of membership packages, which confer entitlement to business support, training, information, and brokerage opportunities to primary stakeholders the black business community.
